Web maintenance and support so your site never goes down
Monthly support, updates, 24/7 monitoring, daily backups, and speed optimization. For SMBs in México who inherited an unmaintained site — or who don't want to depend on a freelancer that won't reply.
The pattern is always the same: two years ago you paid for a website, the freelancer delivered, and since then no one has touched it. Today the site loads slowly, plugins are outdated, the SSL certificate expired, **the contact form stopped sending emails** — and when you try to reach the developer, WhatsApp shows gray. If this sounds familiar, you're not alone: it's the #1 situation we see in Mexican SMBs.
The cost of **not maintaining** a website is much higher than maintaining it. An e-commerce site down for a weekend can cost tens of thousands of pesos in lost sales; a corporate site with old plugins is an open door for hackers; Google penalizes old content and degraded Core Web Vitals. That's why we offer three clear plans with public pricing, so you know exactly what each one includes — no surprises and no begging for replies.
What our web maintenance includes
Everything a production site needs to not break, not go down, and not fall behind. These are the blocks we combine in every plan:
Monthly support
A fixed number of hours per month for minor changes, urgent fixes, and technical questions. We reply via WhatsApp and email during business hours — no waiting days for an answer. Extra-hour rate: $400-600 MXN depending on complexity.
For any business with a production site that needs a reliable backup team.
Content changes without learning a CMS
Send us the text, photos, or new PDF via WhatsApp; we publish it on the site the same day (or next business day). No need for you to fight WordPress, Sanity, or the previous freelancer's panel.
For non-technical teams updating products, blog, or prices weekly.
CMS and dependency updates
We update WordPress, plugins, themes, Next.js libraries, npm packages, and frameworks — always with prior backup and testing before publishing. Without this, sites accumulate vulnerabilities and one day stop working for no apparent reason.
For WordPress, Shopify, or Next.js sites that haven't been touched in 6+ months.
Production bug fixing
Forms not emailing, checkout not processing payments, 404 pages where there shouldn't be: we diagnose and fix it. If it's urgent (site down, payment gateway broken), we go into priority mode at no extra cost within the plan.
For any site: sooner or later something breaks in production.
24/7 uptime monitoring
We check your site every minute with tools like UptimeRobot/BetterStack. If it goes down, we get the alert before you do — and many times we bring it back up before your customer even notices. Monthly report with historical uptime included.
Critical for e-commerce, online bookings, and any site generating leads 24/7.
Speed and Core Web Vitals optimization
We audit with Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights, optimize images (WebP/AVIF), apply lazy loading, minify JS/CSS, and configure cache and CDN. Goal: pass the Core Web Vitals Google uses for ranking (LCP <2.5s, INP <200ms, CLS <0.1).
For sites that lost Google rankings for no obvious reason, or take more than 3s to load.
Security: SSL, headers, and vulnerabilities
We verify HTTPS and SSL are always active, configure security headers (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options), check dependency vulnerabilities (npm audit, WPScan), and block private routes. If you've been hacked, we also clean up and harden the site.
Indispensable for e-commerce, sites with login, and any business handling customer data.
Daily backups and one-click restore
Automatic daily backup (database + files) stored off-server with 30-day retention. If something goes wrong — a plugin breaking the site, a hack, human error — we restore to yesterday's state in under 30 minutes.
For any site where losing a week of data would be a disaster.
Continuous improvements
Maintenance isn't just preventing breakage — it's making it better. Each month we propose 1-2 concrete improvements based on real data: conversion optimization on weak CTAs, refactor of slow pages, A/B test of hero copy, new SEO schemas. The site keeps growing in performance without you having to ask.
For businesses that see the website as an asset, not an expense.

FAQs about web maintenance
- How much does website maintenance cost in México?
- Our plans run from $1,500 to $15,000 MXN per month depending on site type. Basic (simple site, up to 5 hrs/month): $1,500-3,000 MXN. Pro (multi-page corporate, 10 hrs/month + monitoring): $3,000-7,000 MXN. E-commerce (Shopify/WooCommerce with critical monitoring): $7,000-15,000 MXN. Extra-hour rate is $400-600 MXN.
- What exactly does web maintenance include?
- Monthly support with dedicated hours, content changes, CMS and dependency updates, production bug fixing, 24/7 uptime monitoring, daily backups with one-click restore, speed optimization (Core Web Vitals), and security (SSL, headers, vulnerabilities). What's not included: large redesigns or new feature development — those are quoted separately.
- How often should WordPress be updated?
- Plugins and themes: every time a security update drops (monthly minimum). WordPress core: at least every major version, after testing in staging. Ignoring updates is the #1 cause of WordPress hacks in México. In our Pro and E-commerce plans we do them automatically with prior backup.
- How is my website backed up?
- We set up an automatic daily backup including database + files, stored off-server (S3 or equivalent) with 30-day retention. If something breaks, we restore to yesterday's state in under 30 minutes. Without this, losing a week of orders or content is just a matter of time.
- My website is very slow, how do I fix it?
- Most common causes in México: heavy unoptimized images (you uploaded a 5MB JPG from your phone), saturated shared hosting, outdated WordPress plugins, missing cache, third-party JS blocking render (chatbots, duplicate analytics). We do a Lighthouse audit and apply priority fixes — typically going from 30/100 to 90+/100 in 2-3 weeks.
- Why did my website go down?
- Typical causes: hosting not responding (maintenance or overload), expired SSL certificate, domain you forgot to renew, plugin breaking the site after an update, bot attack, or server hitting its RAM/CPU limit. With 24/7 monitoring we detect the cause within minutes and apply the fix without you having to call hosting.
- How do I set up HTTPS and SSL on my site?
- If your site is on Vercel, Netlify, or Cloudflare, SSL is automatic and free (Let's Encrypt). On shared cPanel hosting, you need to enable Let's Encrypt in the panel or install one manually. What many forget: forcing the 301 redirect from http→https and updating internal URLs to avoid mixed-content warnings. We configure this in any of our plans.
- What's the difference between hosting and web maintenance?
- Hosting is the server where your site lives (Vercel, Hostgator, GoDaddy) — it only guarantees the physical space is available. Maintenance is active work on your site: updates, changes, backups, monitoring, fixes. Hosting will NOT call you if a plugin breaks your cart; maintenance will. Many people pay $80 USD/year for hosting and think it's "maintained" — it isn't.
- Do I need maintenance if my website is static?
- Yes, though less intensive. Even a static site needs: domain and SSL renewal, uptime monitoring, repo backups, periodic framework updates (Next.js, Astro), new-image optimization, and SEO review. For these cases we recommend the Basic plan ($1,500-3,000 MXN/month).
- My site got hacked, what do I do?
- First: don't panic and don't delete anything. Contact us on WhatsApp and we go into emergency mode. Protocol: (1) isolate the site so it doesn't infect visitors, (2) restore from the last clean backup, (3) identify the entry vector (old plugin, stolen credential, etc.), (4) close it and harden headers and permissions, (5) report to Google Search Console if you were flagged as malware. If you've never had backups, there are still options — more expensive but recoverable.
